Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 17, 2026
In Brief: We collect minimal data: server logs kept for up to 90 days and emails you send us. We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. We do not sell or share your data or track you across websites. If you are in California or the EU/UK, you have specific privacy rights detailed below. Questions: hello@elacloud.com. This is a summary only; see full Privacy Policy below.
1. Who We Are
ElaCloud LLC ("ElaCloud," "we," "our," or "us") is a Delaware limited liability company. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle information when you visit elacloud.com and www.elacloud.com (the "Site").
Contact: hello@elacloud.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect a minimal amount of information to operate the Site:
Server logs. When you visit the Site, our content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront, operated by Amazon Web Services, Inc.) automatically records standard server log data. This may include:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Date and time of your request
- Pages or resources requested
- HTTP response code
- Referring URL
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days and are used solely to operate and secure the Site. We do not combine server log data with any other information to identify you.
Email contact. If you send us an email at hello@elacloud.com, we receive and store your email address, the content of your message, and any information you voluntarily include. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies and tracking. This Site uses analytics tools to collect pseudonymized usage data — information about how visitors use the Site that is associated with a randomly assigned identifier rather than your name or contact information. This data helps us understand how visitors interact with the Site. We do not use advertising cookies or engage in cross-site behavioral tracking. For details on the specific tools and cookies we use, see our Cookie List and Cookie Policy.
2A. Analytics Data Collection
What we collect. We use analytics tools to collect pseudonymized behavioral data about how visitors interact with the Site. This includes pages visited, session duration, clicks, scroll depth, device type, browser, operating system, approximate geographic location (country/region), and referring URL. Some tools may also generate session replays and heatmaps.
What "pseudonymized" means. Analytics data is linked to a randomly assigned identifier (a "cookie ID") rather than your name or contact information. This data cannot directly identify you. However, under data protection law, pseudonymized data is not the same as anonymous data — it could potentially be linked to an identifiable person with additional information. We do not attempt such linking.
Why we collect it. To understand aggregate usage patterns, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions about the Site's content and structure. We do not use analytics data for targeted advertising or to build advertising profiles.
Legal basis (for EEA/UK visitors). The legal basis for analytics processing is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3)). You may withdraw consent at any time via your browser cookie settings, our cookie consent mechanism, or by contacting us.
Third-party analytics providers. We use analytics tools provided by third parties. Some providers act as independent data controllers for data collected through their tools (meaning they determine their own purposes for processing). Others act as data processors under our instructions pursuant to a Data Processing Agreement. For details on each provider's role, data practices, and the specific cookies they set, see our Cookie List.
Your choices. You can control analytics cookies through:
- Our cookie consent mechanism (for EU/EEA/UK visitors)
- Your browser's cookie settings
- The Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal, which we honor
- Tool-specific opt-out mechanisms listed in our Cookie List
See our Cookie Policy for additional details about cookies and tracking technologies.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site
- Diagnose technical problems
- Respond to your inquiries
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers. Amazon Web Services, Inc. provides our hosting and content delivery infrastructure. AWS processes server log data on our behalf subject to their Privacy Notice.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ElaCloud or others.
No other third parties receive information collected through the Site.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., "CCPA/CPRA"), grants California residents certain rights regarding their personal information.
Do Not Sell or Share. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. No opt-out mechanism is required at this time.
Your Rights. California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (not applicable — we do not sell or share)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights
Submitting a Request. To exercise your rights, email us at hello@elacloud.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days. Because we collect only server logs and email contact data, we may have limited information to provide. We will verify your identity before responding to deletion requests.
Note: The CCPA/CPRA "business" threshold requires that an entity annually buys, sells, or shares for commercial purposes the personal information of 100,000 or more California consumers or households (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140(d)). ElaCloud does not currently meet this threshold and is not a "business" subject to CCPA/CPRA obligations. We provide this disclosure as a courtesy.
6. CalOPPA Disclosure
Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575 et seq., "CalOPPA"), operators of websites that collect personally identifiable information from California residents must post a privacy policy. This Policy satisfies that requirement. We honor "Do Not Track" signals by not tracking users across third-party websites; our Site does not engage in cross-site tracking.
7. EEA / UK Visitors (GDPR Notice)
If you access the Site from the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, please note that server log data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) as the legal basis for processing server log data. You may have rights under the GDPR including rights of access, erasure, restriction, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@elacloud.com.
8. Data Retention
- Server logs: retained up to 90 days, then deleted
- Email correspondence: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and comply with legal obligations
9. Security
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS via Amazon CloudFront with TLS encryption. All S3 storage is private, encrypted at rest (AES-256), and accessible only through the CloudFront distribution. We do not accept form submissions or store user accounts on this Site.
10. Children
The Site is a corporate informational website not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
