In Brief: You can browse and share links to this site. You cannot scrape our content, overload our servers, probe for security vulnerabilities, or use the site for illegal purposes.
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your access to and use of elacloud.com and www.elacloud.com (the "Site"), operated by ElaCloud LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you agree to both documents.
2. Permitted Uses
You may:
- Browse and read Site content for personal, informational, or commercial evaluation purposes
- Share links to the Site with others
- Contact us at hello@elacloud.com for inquiries
- Access the Site using ordinary browser software or screen readers
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Site to:
- Scrape or harvest. Systematically extract content, data, or metadata from the Site using automated bots, crawlers, scrapers, or scripts, except for search engine indexing bots operating in accordance with our robots.txt file.
- Overwhelm infrastructure. Send excessive automated requests, conduct denial-of-service attacks, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or any activity that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure or content delivery network.
- Probe for vulnerabilities. Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, port scanning, or security research against the Site or its infrastructure without our prior written authorization.
- Reverse engineer. Decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code, structure, or trade secrets from the Site or any software embedded in it.
- Impersonate ElaCloud. Create websites, accounts, or communications that falsely imply an affiliation with or endorsement by ElaCloud LLC, or that use our trademarks, name, or branding without written permission.
- Engage in unlawful activity. Violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation in connection with your use of the Site.
- Interfere with access. Take any action that interferes with other users' ability to access or use the Site.
- Transmit harmful content. Attempt to transmit viruses, malware, worms, or other destructive code through the Site.
- Circumvent security controls. Attempt to bypass, defeat, or circumvent any security measures, access controls, or technical restrictions implemented on the Site.
4. Enforcement
ElaCloud reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:
- Block or throttle IP addresses, IP ranges, or user agents that violate this AUP
- Take legal action against individuals or organizations that violate this AUP
- Report suspected illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
We reserve these rights but are not obligated to exercise them.
5. Reporting Violations
To report suspected violations of this AUP, security vulnerabilities, or abusive activity, contact us at hello@elacloud.com. We will investigate all reports in good faith.
6. Disclaimer
Enforcement of this AUP does not create any obligation or liability on the part of ElaCloud to monitor Site activity. We are not responsible for, and disclaim all liability for, the actions of any third party in violation of this AUP.
7. Governing Law
This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, consistent with our Terms of Service.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
