This Cookie Policy explains how ElaCloud LLC ("ElaCloud," "we," "our," or "us") may use cookies and similar technologies on elacloud.com and www.elacloud.com (the "Site"), what choices you have, and how to exercise them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site — or third parties — to recognize your browser across requests and sessions. Similar technologies include local storage identifiers, pixel tags, and browser fingerprinting. This Policy uses "cookies" as shorthand for all such technologies.

2. Cookie Categories

We classify cookies into three categories:

• Strictly Necessary — Required for the Site to function. No consent is required because processing is technically essential.
• Analytics / Performance — Help us understand how visitors use the Site. Require opt-in consent in the EU/EEA/UK; opt-out rights in California and other U.S. states.
• Marketing / Advertising — Used to build profiles and deliver targeted ads. We do not use marketing cookies at this time.

3. Cookies Currently Set

This Site uses analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our pages. Analytics cookies are set when you visit the Site and persist for varying durations depending on the specific tool.

We do not use:

• Advertising or marketing cookies
• Social media tracking cookies
• Cross-site tracking for behavioral advertising

All fonts are self-hosted at /fonts/ — no external font CDN requests are made.

4. Analytics Tools

We use analytics tools provided by third parties to collect pseudonymized usage data about how visitors interact with the Site. This data helps us understand aggregate usage patterns, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions about the Site's content and structure.

What analytics tools collect. Analytics tools typically collect:

• Pages visited and navigation path
• Session duration and interaction events (clicks, scrolls)
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• Approximate geographic location (country/region level)
• Referring URL (how you arrived at the Site)

What analytics tools do NOT collect. Our analytics tools are configured to avoid collecting:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Precise location (street address, GPS coordinates)
• Passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal data

Pseudonymized, not anonymous. Analytics data is associated with a randomly assigned identifier (a "cookie ID") rather than your name. This data is pseudonymized — it cannot directly identify you, but could potentially be linked to an identifiable person with additional information. We do not attempt such linking, and we do not use analytics data for targeted advertising.

Third-party data practices. Some analytics providers may act as independent data controllers for data collected through their tools, meaning they determine their own purposes for processing. 5. Your Choices — EU / EEA / UK Visitors

The EU ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) requires prior opt-in consent before analytics cookies are set on your device. Legitimate interest is not a valid basis for analytics cookies under binding CJEU case law (Planet49, C-673/17, Oct. 1, 2019) and EDPB guidance.

If we enable analytics tools, we will display a cookie consent banner before any script loads. The banner will:

• Present an "Accept" button and a "Reject" button of equal visual prominence
• Not use pre-ticked boxes
• Allow granular category-level consent
• Allow withdrawal of consent at any time

6. Your Choices — United States

California (CCPA / CPRA). Under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135, California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising. If analytics tools that qualify as "sharing" are enabled, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request, as required by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135(b) (effective January 1, 2023).

Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and other states. Residents of these states have opt-out rights for targeted advertising. We will provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms if applicable processing is enabled. The GPC signal is also honored in Colorado (effective July 1, 2024).

8. Strictly Necessary Cookies

This Site does not set any strictly necessary cookies. Our content delivery infrastructure (Amazon CloudFront) does not set cookies in standard static-site configurations. No login functionality, shopping cart, or session state is maintained on this Site.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy before enabling any new tracking technology. We will also update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever the Policy changes. Where required by law, we will obtain fresh consent after material changes. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
